Toulouse FC VS Racing Club de Rouen !
Thanks to my friend and colleague Jean Jacques Akpa Akpro, brother of Jean Daniel Akpa Akpro (former player of TFC and Lazio Rome) and Jean Guy Akpa Akpro (a player I managed when he signed his first professional contract in Finland), RCR had the opportunity to face the youth team of Toulouse FC !
Arrival and Stadium visit
On January 12, 2024, U10 and U11 players from Racing Club de Rouen arrived in Toulouse for an unforgettable football experience. The day began with a special visit to the Stadium of Toulouse, where the young players had the chance to discover the atmosphere of a professional arena. Walking through the stands and stepping onto the pitch was a dream moment for many of them, and it set the tone for an exciting weekend ahead.
Training Center Visit and Friendly Match
The following day, January 13, was just as thrilling. The team visited Toulouse’s training center, giving our players a unique opportunity to see how professional footballers prepare and train on a daily basis.
Later that day, the highlight of the trip took place: a friendly match between Racing Club de Rouen and Toulouse. The game was intense and full of actions, ending with a narrow 4-3 defeat for Rouen. It was a tight contest where both sides gave their all, and our boys showed great spirit and determination throughout the match.
Match Highlights and Standout Players
Despite the defeat, the performance of the team was remarkable. The game was decided by the smallest of margins, and our players fought until the final whistle. Special mention goes to Evan, Sajid, and Ismael, who stood out as the best performers of the match thanks to their goals, skill, effort, and leadership on the pitch.

Following this exciting encounter, RCR is delighted to announce that a rematch has already been planned for May 2024, where we hope to take our revenge and showcase once again the talent and determination of RCR teams.
