Manchester City Tournament : TOP 3 for MJ ACADEMY !
Arrival and City Visit – June 14 !
On June 14, the young players of MJ Academy arrived full of excitement and energy. Before stepping onto the pitch, they had the chance to explore the city and enjoy a cultural visit together. It was the perfect way to bond as a group and prepare for the competition ahead.
Tournament Day – June 15 !
The big day came on June 15, as MJ Academy took part in a prestigious youth tournament featuring 10 teams from across Europe. MJ Academy entered with two squads in the 7v7 format, competing on the very same pitch used by Pep Guardiola and Manchester City for their pre-match opposition sessions. This unique setting added an extra spark of motivation for all the players.
Results – Team 1 :
- Victories against KV Mechelen, Burnley, Queens Park Rangers, Bolton, and Sheffield
- Draws with Manchester 1 and TNS
- Defeat against Manchester City 2
Results – Team 2 : - Wins over Burnley, Sheffield, Bolton, KV Mechelen, and TNS
- Defeats against both Manchester teams and QPR
Final Standings !
After a day of hard-fought matches, MJ Academy finished in an impressive 3rd and 4th place, just behind the powerhouse squads of Manchester City 2 and Manchester City 1. Competing against some of the top youth academies in Europe, our players showed skill, determination, and the true spirit of MJ Academy.
